In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. When the sky fractures.
2. And obeys its Lord, as it must.
3. And when the earth is expanded.
4. And casts out whatever in it, and empties itself.
5. And it obeys its Lord, as it should.
6. O man, you are laboring towards your Lord, and you will surely encounter Him.
7. As for the one who is given his record in his right hand.
8. He will face an easy accounting.
9. And will return to his family happily.
10. But as for the one who is given his record behind his back.
11. He will call for annihilation.
12. And will be thrust into a roaring inferno.
13. He was once joyful among his family.
14. He thought he would never return.
15. Yet, his Lord was watchful over him.
16. So, I swear by the twilight’s glow.
17. And by the night, and all it encloses.
18. And by the moon, when it becomes full.
19. You will ascend from stage to stage.
20. So why, then, do they not believe?
21. And when the Quran is read to them, they don’t prostrate?
22. But those who disbelieve are in denial.
23. And God certainly knows what they are hiding.
24. So, give them the news of a severe punishment.
25. But for those who believe and do righteous deeds, theirs is an unending reward.
