In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. By those dispatched in succession.
2. And those that storm with turbulence.
3. And those that scatter far and wide.
4. And those that differentiate distinctly.
5. And those that deliver a reminder.
6. Excusing or warning.
7. What you’re promised is to come.
8. When the stars are obliterated.
9. And the sky is fractured.
10. And the mountains are blown away.
11. And when the messengers’ time has been appointed.
12. To what Day was it deferred?
13. To the Day of Sorting.
14. And what will make you understand what the Day of Sorting is?
15. Woe, on that Day, to the deniers!
16. Didn’t We annihilate the first ones?
17. Then We followed them up with the later ones.
18. Such is how We deal with the transgressors.
19. Woe, on that Day, to the deceivers!
20. Didn’t We create you from a base fluid?
21. And placed it in a secure repository?
22. For a specific period?
23. We determined, so how excellent We are at determining.
24. Woe, on that Day, to the forgers!
25. Didn’t We make the earth a receptacle?
26. For the living and for the dead?
27. And placed within it towering mountains, and provided you with fresh water to drink?
28. Woe, on that Day, to the rejecters!
29. Proceed to what you used to deny.
30. Proceed to a shadow in three columns.
31. It neither has shade nor can it shield from the flames.
32. It throws up sparks as towers.
33. As if they were yellowish camels.
34. Woe, on that Day, to the falsifiers!
35. This is the Day when they won’t speak.
36. And they won’t be permitted to present excuses.
37. Woe, on that Day, to the schemers!
38. This is the Day of Separation; We gathered you and the ancients.
39. If you have any strategy, then use it against Me.
40. Woe to the disbelievers on that Day!
41. The righteous will be amidst shades and springs.
42. And fruits of their choosing.
43. “Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do.”
44. Such is how We reward the doers of good.
45. Woe, on that Day, to the deniers!
46. “Eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are guilty.”
47. Woe, on that Day, to the rejecters!
48. And when it was said to them, “Bow down,” they didn’t bow down.
49. Woe, on that Day, to those who refuse!
50. Then in what statement after this will they believe?
